The Prince Of Peace
7/14/2013 I read 2 Nephi chapter's 14 -19:
So many thoughts of my testimony of the Savior as I read these chapters. Writing this blog today has been very emotional. as I ponder these writings compared to Isaiah, I am very touched by the Savior and his love! I have had so much of those thoughts rolling around in my head that I decided my best post today would be to share two of the poems I have written about the Savior. The first poem, Light, is a Christmas poem and while reading 2 Nephi 19, my thoughts were filled with Christ and his coming. The second poem, Hope In His Words, is a poem I wrote a few months ago concerning looking to Christ as my light in the darkness, for He is my sanctuary.
Light
-Janalea Jeppson
It was a star
In the sky
That showed them the way
A babe they would find
Asleep in the hay.
Humbly laid
In a bed
In an animal stall
So tender and mild,
The Lord of us all.
And they followed this light
That first Christmas night
Celebrating the birth
Of a King!
He came for
A reason,
To show us the way …
Like the star in the sky
That first Christmas day.
"Follow me,”
Were His words.
Then He lived what He taught
Touching each life with
The love that He brought.
So we follow His light
That shines through the night
Celebrating the love
Of our King.

Hope In His Words
Written by Janalea J Jeppson
The world chases me,
Taunting …
Crumbling as I run.
Will I survive
The darkness?
Lonely
Angry
Tears.
His words …
A feast for me!
I partake
And find hope!
I leap forward
In faith
Holding to
Those words of hope …
For they kindle fire
within my soul.
And I know
That in them
I find refuge
From the storm.
For in this hope
There is light …
And in that light,
Comfort.
And in that comfort
There is
a gentle reassurance
That I am not alone.
